Cenzia Viva
Cenzia Viva is a TerraViva competition proposal for the redesign of Bodegas Vinival, that transforms an abandoned winery into a cultural destination inspired by Valencia’s Las Fallas tradition. Themes of burn and renewal guide the adaptive reuse of existing silos and brick structures into exhibition and social spaces. Material contrasts between aged surfaces and fluid new interventions emphasize transformation, positioning the project as an act of cultural and spatial revitalization.

The programming and concept diagrams explore how design, culture, and spatial experience inform the organization of the project. Through layered studies, collages, and sectional explorations, the diagrams visualize how form, materiality, and movement shape spaces that support gathering, cultural expression, and meaningful shared community experience.
The site plan places the building as a central anchor within a landscaped setting, with pathways guiding visitors toward the main entrance. Surrounding plantings frame views of the structure while maintaining an open, accessible site. A single exterior firepit seating area acts as the primary outdoor gathering space, creating a central hub for social interaction and cultural appreciation while extending the experience of the building into the landscape.
